FAQs

What is plant based baking?

Plant based baking, also known as vegan baking, refers to baking without the use of any animal-based products such as eggs, butter or dairy milk because we believe it can be just as tasty without. It also makes for a guilt-free, more planet-friendly treat - a win-win in our eyes.

Do I need additional ingredients?

Our Mix & Rise Baking Kits contain all the dry ingredients you need to make the baking recipe. There are usually a few fresh or seasonal ingredients required in addition, such as plant milk, vegetable oil or bananas. The additional ingredients that are required for the recipe are stated on the product page and are printed on the recipe cards.

What baking equipment do I need?

We try to limit the amount of additional baking equipment required however; for the Banana & Fudge Muffins, a measuring jug and muffin cases / a tin are required; for dark chocolate chip cookies, a measuring jug and some baking parchment are required.

How sustainable is the packaging?

We try to keep packaging to an absolute minimum. For our dry ingredients we use natureflex, a clear film made from renewable wood pulp, which is home-compostable and 100% biodegradable. Our letterbox packages are made from 65% recycled cardboard and are 100% recyclable. Our recipe cards are made from 100% recycled paper.

How will I receive my order?

Our Mix & Rise Letterbox Baking Kits are shipped by Royal Mail, 2nd class post. This means that the boxes will drop through your letterbox with your regular post.

Does the box fit through the letterbox?

Where is my baking kit?
